Welcome to Louisville Evacuees! Our office was able to help a recent arrival to Louisville, Kentucky with their car insurance. Welcome to Louisville Bruno D ! Bruno lost his home and father in Biloxi and was able to relocate to Louisville. Bruno's only remaining possession, his uncle's car. Bruno's uncle evacuated to Alabama, but so far Bruno has been unable to make contact with his uncle. Bruno's auto insurance policy expired 28 days before he came into our office. We were able to obtain a lower rate for Bruno, since his policy had expired less than 30 days ago. Bruno's title and other vital documents had been lost in the hurricane. We were able to make a quick call to the insurance company to get an exception, since We were able to get the insurance policy issued. We issued a six month policy that included liability coverage and comprehensive and collision. Bruno has been able to find a job and is considering permanently relocating to Kentucky. We want to welcome the evacuees to our city. Do you know of anyone else who has relocated to Kentucky that needs insurance, if you do we hope that you will refer them to our office.

kentucky house bill 29 - proof of auto insurance

" House Bill 29, passed during the 2004 General Assembly, as a positive step in the continuing battle to identify uninsured motorists. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Ron Crimm, goes into effect on Jan. 1, 2006. It will require all insurance companies writing automobile insurance in Kentucky to send a list of vehicle identification numbers (VIN) and policyholders to the Transportation Cabinet’s Department of Vehicle Regulation by the 15th of each month. This will be kept in the Kentucky Vehicle Information System’s (KVIS) database and will be accessed by county clerks. Unless the VIN is found in the database, the county clerk cannot process an application for, or issue, a title, registration, replacement plate, duplicate registration, transfer of registration or temporary tag. "

A handful of "hurricane pets" arrived in Louisville and Southern Indiana just in time.

The annual Adopt-a-Thon of the Kentucky Humane Society's Louisville chapter was this weekend -- and there was a line waiting yesterday to take home all of the adoptable animals -- 18 dogs and cats -- that had been brought from storm-battered Mississippi......
